  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Air Pollution Control District parking lot at Barret Avenue and Breckinridge Street

Here's your chance to view upclose residential and commercial sites around Louisville that have installed solar energy.  There are three ways to enjoy this years tour: by bus, by bike, and self-guided.  The bus and bike tours will leave from the Air Pollution Control District parking lot at Barret Avenue and Breckinridge Street at Noon. Or, self-guided tours can be planned through the interactive google map and tour booklet that will be available online at http://www.kentuckyipl.org/2014-louisville-solar-tour/.

The featured sites include homes in Germantown and the Highlands and throughout the city, a brewery in Butchertown, the home of the President of Spalding University, and at Bernheim Forest's new Edible Garden.  Installers will be available at some locations.

The Louisville Climate Action Network, Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light, the Coalition for the Advancement of Regional Transportation, and the Kentucky Solar Energy Society are tour sponsors, and  is co-sponsored by the Passionist Earth and Spirit Center, Cultivating Connections, the Greater Louisville Sierra Club, and the Center for Interfaith Relations.
