The Kentucky Solar Energy Society

The Lexington Solar Tour is on Saturday, October 8.  This year's event begisn with an informational overview where participants can learn about solar basics, energy efficiency and the benefits of net metering.  Then, participants can go on bus tour to view several homes and businesses that are harnessing the power of the sun.  Following, everyone can attend an after tour celebration and meet several installers to learn how they might take advantage of the sun for their own homes and businesses!

After the solar tours are over and the sun has gone down, enthusiasts can support solar energy by heading to a Solar Kentucky Benefit Concert. Proceeds will go toward solar panels or energy efficiency upgrades on Habitat for Humanity homes.
